On The Hunt is a set of novella stories by Alexandra Ivy, Rebecca Zanetti, Dianne Duvall and Hannah Jayne.

Each story fits in a book series that they’ve written.  But all are a paranormal romance for us to enjoy.

On the Hunt by Alexandra Ivy

On the Hunt is book 2.5 of the Sentinels Series by Alexandra Ivy.

You will find that this book has its own book cover, shown here.

While this book does have some recurring characters, this book doesn’t play any part of the plot line in the series.

This is Mika Tanner’s and Bailey Morrell’s story.

Mika is a Sentinel who is quiet and reserved and thrives under protection and safety that Valhalla provides.

Bailey is a healer filled with heart and charm and wouldn’t conform to the rules put out by the leaders of Valhalla.

They are complete opposites.

But they are also soulmates destined to not be together.

That is until Mika gets word that her life is in danger.  And he can do nothing but go and save her, even if that’s from herself.

So this is a sweet, short story about choosing to be together despite the obstacles that are in front of you.

Neither of them had given their love a chance.  Now, years later, he is going to show her that they can be together and both be happy and free while being protected!!

This is just a short, simple story that’s added into the Sentinel Series.  Click to find out more about that series.

Scorpius Rising by Rebecca Zanetti

Scorpius Rising is book 0.5 in the Scorpius Syndrome Series by Rebecca Zanetti.

Phantom Embrace by Dianne Duvall

Phantom Embrace by Dianne Duvall is book 5.5 in her Immortal Guardians Series!

As you can see, there’s a book cover for this book despite the fact that this story is included in this anthology.

This is Yuri’s story.

If you remember, in book 5, Night Unbound, there was an epic battle right at the end of that book.  And in that battle, Yuri was beheaded;(

First, you need to know that this story takes place during book 5.  There are several overlapping scenes that show you that this book follows the same timeframe just from Yuri’s perspective.

We find out in this book is that Yuri had been having a romance with Cat, Bastien’s sister.

Bastien is the guardian that is called the black sheep of the family because for two centuries he thought he was a vampire instead of an immortal.  Somehow Seth missed him.

So Bastien’s back story is where avenged his sister’s death only to wage a war against the immortals.  That is until the finally convinced him otherwise.

So Cat is his sister.  And she’s been haunting Bastien since her death.  And because Yuri’s gift is that he can see ghosts, he’s intrigued with her.  And they forge a friendship and eventually a romance.

Now the fact that she’s a ghost and he’s not plays a factor in this story.  But they find out that in his dreams he’s able to touch her and be with her.

Yuri is constantly torn between wanting to be with Cat and wanting to be with his best friend, Stanislav.

And the whole situation with the enemy that arising against them doesn’t help anything.

And then sadly in the epic battle, he gets beheaded.  This sends Stan into a tailspin for another story (Awaken the Darkness, book 8).

But it ends up being a happily ever after for Yuri because he gets to be with his love because both of them are now ghosts!!

Okay, it’s a different type of romance, but it works.

This is just a short story that just over a hundred pages!  A quick easy read!  But this story helps us to understand Yuri and Cat and how they end up helping all the Immortals when they get to book 9!

Stake Out by Hannah Jayne

There is no separate book cover for Stake Out by Hannah Jayne.

This book is book 6.5 in the Underworld Detection Agency!

This is Nina Lashay’s story.
