Book Summary

Only By Your Touch is a contemporary romance written by Catherine Anderson.  This is a stand-alone novel that it doesn’t belong to any book series.

This is a touching and heart-warming story about healing and coming to accept yourself as well as others no matter what.

Chloe Evans and her young son, Jeremy moved to Jack Pine, Oregon to get a fresh start.  Working for the local police department as a dispatcher seemed a good bet.

When she bumps into Ben Longtree, she doesn’t realize how much her world is about to change.

At first, she’s wary of Ben.  But because of Jeremy’s persistence and determination, she’s is forced to get to know him.

When Jeremy’s dog, Rowdy gets really sick, he takes him to Ben for help.

That’s the beginning of Chloe and Ben.

Together they learn to accept each other for who they really are and for who they are trying to be.

The story centers around Ben’s ability to heal.  With the touch of his hands.  He can heal broken bones and stop bleeding but he can’t replace what was lost.

Together they take on Bobby Lee Schuck, who’s not only victimizing Chloe and shooting animals, he’s made it his mission in life to destroy Ben.

So the majority of the storyline is them coming together while dealing with Bobby Lee.  And that ones a hard one.  Bobby Lee is a sheriff in town and is slick and devious.

But as they get to know each other, and fight off Bobby Lee, Ben and Chloe fall in love.

Of course, there are a ton of issues that each of the characters have to deal with.  It wouldn’t be a decent romance if it didn’t.  But as they work through their issues, they come to accept each other for who they are.  And they help to heal each other.

There are some 2 1/2 sexy scenes in the story.  And CA doesn’t use crude language nor are there many details in the scenes that you have to worry about.  So they are easily skipped if needed.

The book is a full-length novel with no cliff-hangers.  As this is a stand-alone novel, there’s no more about the characters.  But it would be nice if there was a continuation.  I would love to read a story about their daughter!!

The story is a sweet and tender story.  I enjoyed it and can read it over and over again!
