Book Summary

This story doesn’t belong to any books series, it’s just a really great book.

Sharon Sala does a great job of taking a typical romance idea and making it into a great romance.

This is a finding a long-lost-love love story.  But with a twist, or maybe several!!

Sam and Haley Quaid were once together.  But the death of their adorable son shattered their life and in her grief Haley ends their marriage.

Now three years later, they’ve both existing but not really moved on.

Haley became a real estate agent and fills her day with work and more work.

Sam never stopped loving her and told her to call him if she ever needed him.

So when she falls down the stairs, hits her head in a fancy house she’s showing, she knows that things are only going to get worse when she sees that the hurricane has come.

And not only that, the escaped convicts find their way to this very house and break in to get away from the hurricane.

At first, she hides.

But when she tries to get away, they find her and hold her captive for several days.

Needless to say there’s a lot of suspense in the story.  Not only does Haley have to deal with these horrible men, she also has to deal with the hurricane that’s raging outside.

I will admit that while I did enjoy this story, it’s not as well written as others by this author.

It’s a fantastic idea where they come back together and find that they still love each other and want to be with each other.  That it took three years to get past the grief that each felt after losing thier 10yr old son.

So there’s more than one thing that has to be solved in the storyline.  Haley’s and Sam’s love had to be repaired.  And the lost money that they escaped convicts stole has to be found.

And that brings more intrigue into the story.

Why? Because Haley is targeted and Sam must protect her.  And that keeps them together for the whole story.

Is it the type of story that you’ll read again and again?  Probably not!  But it’s a great one to add to my collection of books that’re written by Sharon Sala.

She has several that you definitely need to check out!!
