Book Details

Finding Home in Good Hope is the 16th book in a 21-book series. This book was published in 2017.

The main genre for this story is contemporary romance, but I would also add in a small town romance.

Adding additional tropes to a story makes for a dynamic story! This story has several:

  • love-at-first-sight romance
  • forced proximity romance
  • friends to lovers romance

I would also add it’s a story about life, and dealing with the troubles and struggles of life!

This is full length story with 258 pages. There are no other book covers for this story.

This is Gianna Ricci’s and Ethan Shaw’s story. This story is told from their point of view in 3rd person. Pls also note that all the sisters play a role in the storyline of each story.

This story is located in Good Hope, a small township in the Door County peninsula in Wisconsin.

So far, in this series, I’ve noticed that these characters have an external and an internal issue to deal with.

A few things happen during this story that ties it to the other stories in this series:

  • Gladys, Ruby, and Katherine all play a part in more matchmaking schemes!!
  • Oaklee’s story really starts here.

Book Summary

This is Gianna’s and Ethan’s story. This is a charming story about finding and making a home in a place with those that mean the most to you.

Gianna is a newcomer to Good Hope. She’s been invited to join Marigold and Charlotte in the salon allowing them both to leave on maternity leave.

This story starts out at a fun New Year’s party where Gianna and Ethan meet for the first time.

Ethan is Eliza’s younger brother and a businessman. He’s a part of the Triad group with Kyle Kendrick and David Chapin.

Gianna is friends with Oaklee (book 17) and Evie. Ethan is friends with Isaak Cochran and Anders Cross. Each of these characters play a role in this storyline.

I’d call this a love-at-first sight romance because the minute Ethan sees Gianna at the New Year’s party, he’s smitten. And he does everything to be in her orbit.

I’d call this a friends to lovers romance as Gianna is still healing from the sudden death of her previous husband. She had to move away from this husband’s children to get on with her life.

Ethan knows he can’t rush her and, understandably, they take their time getting to know each other and their bond deepens during this time.

This is also a forced proximity romance because as they’re getting to know each other, they spend time together doing activities. And one of these activities was outdoor activities like snowshoeing.

And along the way, they decide to check out a cabin on Paintbrush Lane. This is a stretch of cabins that hold a special place in Ethan’s mind and he even goes to his father to buy this land from him. He wants to be able to refurbish these cabins and open them as a fun tourist destination in Good Hope.

And they get stuck in this cabin during a snow storm. And it’s during this time that Ethan decides that Gianna is the one for him.

Conclusion

I enjoy this series. Each story is interesting. I love how the author weaves all the characters’ lives together! Definitely worth reading!!!
