I’ll Stand By You is the 2nd book in the Blessings, Georgia Series. This is definitely a softer side to her writing!!
Book Summary
This book is endearing and very sweet.
Dori Grant is a very young single mom. She is living with her grandfather when a horrible fire takes her home and causes him to tragically die. She is left with basically nothing.
She also comes to realize who her true friends are when she is standing on the side of the street with her baby screaming and not one person comes to offer aide.
That is until Johnny shows up.
Johnny Pine has grown up on the wrong side of the tracks. He’s doing his best to raise his brothers when he sees Dori standing all alone. He welcomes her into their modest home not realizing the changes that are about to take place.
I really liked how Sharon has written this one with light and fun and genuine affection for the characters.
While the characters at Curl Up & Dye play only a small part, they help matchmake those who should be together!
This whole series is entertaining and interesting. Will definitely watch for book 3!
