The Good Hope Series is a heartwarming, charming small-town contemporary romance written by Cindy Kirk.
Book Series Details
This book series could easily be called contemporary small town romance. It has a few that are based at Christmas making them a holiday fiction story. As of Sept 2023, there are 21 books in this book series.
Book 1, Christmas in Good Hope, was published in 2015 and hit the bestsellers list soon after. She published each book consistently with book 21, A Family Affair in Good Hope, just came out in July 2023.
There is no main storyline that flows from each book to each book other than being the lives of the characters that live in this small town of Good Hope.
Book 1 starts out at Christmas time, with book 2 being the following summer! Hence the names of the stories. I’ll let you know of the rest of the timeline as I finish this series.
So far I’ve noticed that the author likes to deal with a deep personal issues, that we all have to deal with, in each of her books. For example, in book 1, Ami deals with the loss of her mother and the guilt she feels from causing a car accident that harmed her friend. The author has done a good job of addressing that issue and then finding a way to deal with it.
All of us have issues and problems that we all have to deal with. And how we manage those situations show who we are as people and as a community!
This series is also about community, on how a community of people should be helping each other. The author used “neighbors helping neighbors” where those that could help helped those that were struggling.
And while each romance book is a chapter in these characters lives, it nice to see how their lives carry on the subsequent books. We get to see how the main characters are doing and growing as each book happens.
Please note this series is available on Kindle Unlimited!! So, Enjoy!!
