Book Summary
While Scent of Roses is considered the 1st book in the Paranormal Series 2, it is not connected in any way to the other 2 books in this series.
This story is about Maria. She’s a young girl that is very pregnant. She keeps seeing the ghost of a young girl telling her to flee because her and her baby’s lives are in danger.
Maria turns to Elizabeth Conners, a counselor and a friend of her brother’s, hoping to be able to solve the mystery.
What they find is a chilling and spooky tale of sightings that have happened in Maria’s home which is on the Harcourt Farm property.
Zach Harcourt steps in to help Elizabeth find out what’s the history of the house.
While Zach and Elizabeth are investigating this mystery, feeling develop between them.
It’s a really interesting story.
When you’ve finished the book, you’re left wondering about ghosts and auras and could the evil that once inhabited a home, still be there for generations to come.
One thing they did in the storyline, was destroy the house completely and never build on that part of the farm again. Makes you really think about evil spirits and such.
Kat Martin does a phenomenal job of making the storyline stick with you long after you have closed the book.
